Not a big deal, but I'm curious… would you expect a change in the worksheet triggered by a control to fire the worksheet_change event? ![]() To do this, first decide which sheet will contain the button and which sheet you will select when you click, the button. It is also a fun way to get started with macros in Excel if you have never made one before. I have a spreadsheet of several hundred items and I want to add spin buttons to control the number of each that I have in stock. It is easy in Excel to create a button on a worksheet that you can click to go to another sheet in the workbook. I guess I'll have to find another way to deal with this. Hi r/excel.I do apologize if this question has already been answered I wasnt sure exactly what to search for in the Wiki. I'm changing a physical value in the worksheet, and I would expect that this change would trip the event. I understand why a recalculation of worksheet formulas wouldn't trigger the worksheet_change event… the actual formula didn't change, after all, but the results did. I'm a little surprised that this is the case. ![]() Same results… or rather lack thereof… I've tested this now using the spin button & scroll bar controls, both forms and activeX, in Excel 20. But yet if you type a value in cell A1, you'll get a message. The value in cell A1 will change, but nothing else. In this article, I discuss a simple but useful feature of Excel called the Spin Button, and I use it to illustrate two concepts associated with attribute. Go back to the worksheet and use the spin button.Private Sub Worksheet_Change(ByVal Target As Range) ![]()
